Biography

Regula Bührer Fecker is one of the most influential figures in the Swiss communications landscape. Known for her visionary work and her courage to explore new paths, she has been awarded Swiss Advertiser of the Year twice (2010, 2014).

After completing her Matura in Zurich, Regula began her advertising career at the age of 20. Starting out as an account executive, she quickly discovered her passion for communication strategy – a field that continues to inspire her today. Following further education at the renowned Miami Ad School, where she graduated at the top of her class, Regula was recruited by TBWA CHIAT DAY in New York to join their large strategy department. Her career then took her to Berlin, where she led the strategy department at TBWA BERLIN, before ultimately returning to Zurich.

At the age of 29, Regula co-founded the agency Rod Kommunikation with two partners. Under her leadership, the agency became the most strategy-driven communications agency in Switzerland, renowned for innovative, impactful, and socially relevant campaigns. In 2020, Rod Kommunikation was sold to Farner Consulting. Regula subsequently took on the role of Chief Strategy Officer, a position she held until 2024, when she decided to pursue new challenges.

In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Regula has always been active in various board positions. Today, she serves on the boards of tibits, the sustainable children's brand NAMUK, and the parenting platform mal ehrlich. She has also previously held board roles at SRG SSR, Hotel Piz Linard, Restaurant Kronenhalle and her own companies Rod Kommunikation and Farner Consulting.

Privately, Regula lives with her family – her husband, two children and a dog – in Zurich. A passionate traveler, she draws inspiration from her favorite destinations, including England, Scotland, France, and Costa Rica. In her free time, you’ll often find Regula in the forest or swimming in the Limmat.
